On the 26th January 2007, the Australia Day, at about 8:45pm, after the sun set under the horizon a very hot day at 41.2 degC, this photo was taken north of Perth at the Hillary's Marina.Three things were captured:
- the Fireworks at Fremantle
- the McNaught's Comet
- the awesome nature of lightning ( and 'dry' thunders, which you can imagine though it cannot be heard from the photo)
On the Swan River, Perth, where there's another fireworks show, the programme was alsmost aborted due to fear of fire risk at King's Park, and one of the fireworks barge caught fire. When lightning stoke, it simply dwarfed the glamour of fireworks (shown on the West Australian the next day; unfortunately I could not find that photo)This reminds us of who's the boss of the Universe - my reflection on that day also my 25th anniversary arriving Southland.
May God Bless you all,
